On November 21, 2025, two Time Tracker for Jira Cloud features will be deprecated:
-
Time Tracker REST API
-
Integration with Tempo Timesheets (third-party app)
Time Tracker itself, and its built-in Timesheet report, will continue to work.
1. Will Time Tracker be removed?
No. Time Tracker for Jira Cloud is not being deprecated. You will still be able to use the app after November 21, 2025.
Only two features are being sunset:
-
The Time Tracker REST API
-
The integration with Tempo Timesheets
2. Will the Timesheet report in Time Tracker be removed?
No. The Timesheet report inside Time Tracker (the one you access in Jira for reporting) will remain available.
The “Timesheets integration” in the announcement refers only to the connection between Time Tracker and the Tempo Timesheets app.
3. What is the Timesheets integration?
The Timesheets integration was a feature that allowed Time Tracker to connect with the Tempo Timesheets app (a separate Marketplace app).
If you don’t use Tempo Timesheets, you are not affected.
4. What happens to the Time Tracker REST API?
The Time Tracker REST API will be deprecated on November 21, 2025. Any automations or integrations relying on it will stop working.
As an alternative, you can use Atlassian’s Jira Cloud REST API, which provides equivalent endpoints for managing worklogs and retrieving time tracking data.

5. Do I need to take action?
-
If you don’t use the Time Tracker REST API and you don’t integrate with Tempo Timesheets, no action is needed.
-
If you use the REST API, we recommend migrating to Jira Cloud’s REST API before November 21, 2025.
-
If you use the Tempo Timesheets integration, you’ll need to review alternatives, as this connection will no longer be supported.
Summary:
-
Time Tracker app stays.
-
Timesheet report stays.
-
REST API + Tempo Timesheets integration → sunset Nov 21, 2025.
