Restrict users from editing fields in Structure

This article is for Structure Cloud.

Problem

I don't want users to be able to edit some fields in their columns.

Solution

You can control whether a user can edit all columns or no columns within a structure, but not individual columns. This functionality is provided by granting users specific permissions: the View permission only allows users to see the structure without being able to edit its content, including values in the columns; the Edit permission, and any permission level above it, allows users to edit the structure. You can find out more about Structure permissions and how to configure them in our documentation: https://help.tempo.io/structure/latest/structure-permissions

Please note: when a user is granted the Edit permission or above, they can only inline edit columns of fields that they can edit in Jira. Structure can’t override Jira access of users.
