Structure - efficient license utilization

Problem

As part of efficient license utilization, we remove Inactive users from the App License Group and add them again only on request. We do this activity every month to ensure that only ACTIVE Users (Logged in to the App in the last 60 Days AND some additional criteria) occupy a license. This helps us keep usage in check.

Is there any functionality in your app that will NOT WORK if a user's License has been revoked, Ex:

  1. Some scheduled jobs that run in the user context will fail because his/her license has been revoked.

  2. Mail will not be sent.

  3. Any other activity that might fail.

Solution

Structure is an app that all system users can access; there are no restrictions related to Structure’s license. If Structure’s license is valid, then all users can use Structure; if the license is not valid, then no one can.

If a user is still active but their access to Jira is revoked, nothing changes for them from Structure’s perspective. If they own any structures, they will still have issues. The changes in Structure happen only if the user loses access to issues/fields in Jira.
