How to clean up obsolete Structure data

This article is for the Data Center.

Problem

We are planning to migrate from the data center to the cloud and optimize our instance. We need your assistance with queries or any other solution to clean up the plugin's obsolete data.

Solution

There are a couple of things we can recommend to clean up the structure before migrating:

  • Find all structures that haven’t been accessed in a while. On the Manage Structures page , the Last opened column shows when each structure was last accessed by any user. You can use our example scripts to find all structures that weren’t accessed over a custom period of time (3, 6, 12 months, etc.).

  • Check if there are structures owned by inactive users . Generators in such structures can’t add any content, so they are likely empty. Either they should be deleted, or their owner should be changed to a different user who has access to issues in Jira.
